Mens cotton full length drawers, to be worn under breeches/ trousers. This style dates from the early 20th century. Made of soft midweight linen-cotton in white with yellow stripe. Monogram "A" stitched in red to hem.
The yoke front waist fastens with three buttons, one of which has been replaced. There is an additional cinch fastener at the back and loops to the front top hem (brace tapes) to fasten into trousers. Fly is open, no seat flap. There are also buttons at the leg opening.
A number of repairs have been done with white plain cotton patches sewn in knees and thigh and several very neatly embroidered patches. Occasional small stains from use.
