PRODUCT DETAILS:
Made from block print organic cotton, this cotton top features a jewel neckline and 3/4 length sleeves. The loose fit of the tunic is accentuated with the front and back panels overlapping over each other and creating slits at the sides.
The floral print is inspired by the cymbidium orchid, a flower indigenous to the state of Sikkim in Northeast India.
The print is done by hand using wooden blocks carved with the design. Block printing is the earliest technique of printing on a fabric which involves a design or pattern to be carved onto wooden blocks. The block is then covered with dye or ink and finally stamped on the fabric to transfer the design. The beauty of block prints is that there can be many permutations and combinations within a single block that uses more than one colour.

- The handmade nature of the print may result in imperfect pieces that are unique and celebrate the beauty of traditional craftsmanship.
- Azo-free dyes used for printing.
- Fabric is pre-washed.

WASH & CARE:
Cotton is a comfortable fabric but wrinkles easily. It is tough to iron washed cotton that has been tumbled in the wash or dried in harsh sun. For easier ironing,
- Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent
- Do not soak
- Dry in shade
- Iron on high heat on reverse while still damp
- Do not tumble dry
- May also be dry cleaned
- Fabric is pre-washed but may bleed slightly on first wash. Please wash separately.
